This guide is for Toyota Dealers who are managing service reminders in Toyota Halo on behalf of a customer.
For best practice, service reminders should be created for the next upcoming service only. Reminders for subsequent services should not be added until the previous service reminders have been completed. This will enable the customer to create a clear and clean Reminders Report when needed that only contains upcoming services.
To add the vehicle’s first service reminder:
- Navigate to Assets. Search for the asset using VIN or Registration and open the asset page.

2. Click the Reminders tab at the bottom of the page

3. Add the reminder

- Set Reminder Type = Odometer
- Description = 1st Service Due
- Send Reminder at = 9000 or 14000 (recommend to send the reminder at 1000 kms less than actual service interval to allow time to schedule service)
- Due at = 10000 or 15000
- Overdue at = 11000 or 16000 (for example)
- Notify = Customer or Dealer user (whoever you want to receive the notification)
Click the red “+” to add reminder

To complete a service reminder and add the next service reminder:
- Navigate to Assets. Search for the asset using VIN or Registration and open the asset page.

2. Click the Reminders tab at the bottom of the page

3. Click “Complete” against the reminder that corresponds with the completed service

4. Once complete, add the reminder for the next service

- Set Reminder Type = Odometer
- Description = 2nd Service Due
- Send Reminder at = 19000 or 29000 (recommend to send the reminder at 1000 kms less than actual service interval to allow time to schedule service)
- Due at = 20000 or 30000
- Overdue at = 21000 or 31000 (for example)
- Notify = Customer or Dealer user (whoever you want to receive the notification)
Click the red “+” to add reminder

Repeat the process of completing the existing reminder and then adding the next service reminder each time a service is completed.
